Trust is not declared. It is verified.
Before any contact happens on this platform, every profile goes through a documented verification process. This page explains what is verified, what is not, and where the gaps are.
Every profile has its own screening
The level of scrutiny follows the risk. An international investor accessing off-market opportunities is not verified in the same way as an agency publishing listings.
Agency
- AMI licence and IMPIC registration
- Company identity and tax number
- Legal representative identified
- Manual approval before publishing
Investor
- Identification with document and expiry date
- Screening for politically exposed persons, sanctions and adverse media
- Source of funds and source of wealth
- Ultimate beneficial owner, where a company is involved
- Signed confidentiality agreement
Investor Representative
- Identification of the representative themselves
- Documented powers of representation
- Expiry date monitored automatically
- Access is suspended when the mandate expires
Partner firms
- Professional registration confirmed
- Named access, never shared
- Two-step verification available
- Revocable at any time
A gap never appears as a verification
When a check has not been done, we say it has not been done. We do not use silence, a green tick, or language that suggests otherwise.
A check still to be done is neither good news nor bad. It is an open question, and that is how we show it: in grey and dashed, so it stands apart from a confirmation even at a glance or printed in black and white.
The two dashed states mean exactly the same thing: that check was not done. They never appear in green.
What Carlo International does not do
Our usefulness comes from always sitting on the same side of the table. These limits are not omissions, they are the design.
Does not represent the seller
We do not take listings in order to sell them. Our fee does not depend on closing any particular deal, which is why we can tell you not to buy.
Is not your lawyer
We do not provide legal advice. Legal matters are your responsibility and your lawyer's; Carlo International does not interfere in that relationship.
Is not the lender
We do not grant credit. Financing is handled with authorized credit institutions, and the decision is theirs alone.
We do not sell your data
Your information serves only the service you contract with us. We do not sell it or share it for third-party marketing.
